The Sikuani are an Indigenous group in the Eastern/Orinoco regions of Colombia. They are known for their deep connection to the land, substance farming, fishing and rich cultural traditions. They have faced significant struggle with land rights, poverty and displacement. They are a group known for their symbolic objects. Their wood artistry is deeply connected to their mythology focusing on ancestral animals and spiritual rituals.
